Burritt, Ely E., Ionia. Second Lt. 21st Inf., July 30, 1862. Wounded in action at Perryville, Ky., Oct. 8, 1862. Wounded and taken prisoner in action at Stone River, Tenn., Dec 31, 1862. Paroled May -----, 1863. First Lt., Jan. 13, 1863. Resigned Oct 15, 1863, and honorably discharged.

Cuff, Daniel O., North Plains. Entered service Aug. 9, 1862, as Sergeant Company K, 21st Inf. Second Lt., Nov. 12, 1863. Mustered out June 8, 1865, and honorably discharged.

Dye, John W., [Photo] Ionia. age 22. Entered service Aug. 9, 1862 as Wagoner 21st Inf. First Lt. and Regimental Quartermaster, Mar. 1, 1864. Mustered out June 8, 1865, and honorably discharged. .

Foglesong, George W. [photo] Pvt., enlisted February 12, 1864, at age 22, in Co. K, 21st Michigan Infantry Regiment, Second Division, 14th Army Corps. His Regiment was detached and assigned to the Engineer Corps. They built a bridge across the Tennessee River and constructed the barracks on Lookout Mountain. They were placed in the field and were engaged in the battle against Hood at Nashville and also at the battle of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and other minor engagements. He was discharged at Washington, DC, in July 1865. George was an active member of the Heald Post No. 253, Department of Michigan, Grand Army of the Republic.

Heyalauf, Andrew, Ionia. Entered service Aug 7, 1862. Sergeant Major, 21st Inf., ------. Second Lt., Oct. 29, 1864. Not mustered as an officer. Honorably discharged June 17, 1865.

Russell, Albert G., Hubbardston. First Lt. 21st Inf., July 30, 1862. Wounded in action at Stone River, Tenn., Dec. 31, 1862. Resigned Jan 13, 1863, and honorably discharged.

Salyer, John V. also spelled Sayler, from Ionia, Michigan, enlisted in Company K, 21st Michigan Infantry at Ionia for 3 years of service at age 23. He mustered into Federal service on September 4, 1862. He served the rest of the war and was mustered out at Washington, Dc on June 8, 1865.

Taylor, John C., Ionia. Entered service Aug. 11, 1862 as Sergeant Company K, 21st Inf. Second Lt., Jan 13, 1863. Captain, Oct. 16, 1863. Mustered out June 8, 1865, and honorably discharged.

Townsend, Oliver C., North Plains. Entered service Aug. 9, 1862. Sergeant Company K, 21st Inf., ------. First Lt., Jan. 13, 1863. Mustered out June 8, 1865, and honorably discharged
